When Accidents Happen, Your Smile Can Heal Here

Dental injuries are always urgent, and tooth pain can become really unpleasant. Getting care quickly is the key to saving your smile, whether it’s a cracked, loose, or knocked-out tooth. We do our best to provide fast relief.

Do You Have a Cracked Tooth?

A cracked tooth can cause pain when chewing, pressure when biting, or sensitivity to hot and cold. The pain may come and go, making it hard to pinpoint the problem. When you chew, the crack can open and close, irritating the pulp inside and causing sharp discomfort. If left untreated, the pulp can become damaged or infected, which may spread to the gums or bone. Prompt treatment at our practice can save your tooth and prevent bigger issues.

A Tooth That Feels Loose?

Sometimes an injury pushes a tooth out of place. If it is partially out of the socket, the tooth and roots are at risk for infection or even tooth loss. In many cases, your endodontist can reposition the tooth. If the pulp remains healthy, no further care is needed, but a root canal may be required if it is damaged. If a tooth is pushed deeper into the socket, our team can provide root canal therapy to restore it, giving the tooth the best chance to be saved.

Have a Knocked-Out Tooth?

If a tooth is completely knocked out, act quickly. Stay calm and try to gently place it back in the socket. If you cannot, keep the tooth in a small container of milk or in water with a pinch of salt. Bring it to the dentist immediately. The faster you get help, the better the chances of saving the tooth. Depending on how long the tooth has been out and its stage of root development, Dr. Grey will recommend the best treatment.
